In the summer of 2024, Michelle Brake moved from BC to Jackson’s Arm, Newfoundland, with her husband and daughter. That same year, she launched Windrose Coffee—a brand inspired by a love for the island’s rugged beauty and the need for a better brew on the move.

The idea was born from her husband’s international work travels, but it found its true purpose in the Newfoundland lifestyle. It’s premium coffee made for the no-fuss adventurer.

By September 2025, Windrose Coffee established its storefront at Windrose Gifts. Our boutique gift shop in Jackson’s Arm is the heart of the operation—a place to shop handpicked goods and local artisan treats, or to grab a Windrose Coffee to go before heading out on your next adventure.

More than just a shop, Michelle envisions Windrose Gifts as a community gathering place where locals and visitors alike can connect over a great cup of coffee and celebrate the unique spirit of Jackson’s Arm.
